I've actually been dying to eat here for years. The atmosphere is lovely with talavera motifs everywhere. The tables are nice and cozy. The food was absolutely delicious and came quickly. The portions were great and my husband had enough for lunch the next day. Well worth the wait!
We went Cinco de Mayo so it was very busy. Our wait was 15 minutes for a table of 3 and while the food obviously took a while to get to us it was fantastic. I have no regrets. It was fantastic. Sage was awesome and will definitely be recommending this to everyone I know. Thank you!
I thought this was a really nice restaurant where a casual diner can feel a little upscale on a budget. My server Mackenzie was the best server ever and was prompt with refills and timed coming back to take my entree order perfectly. The food quality was very high, I had the Texas Combo and the Tortillas were the best I have had in the US. Thanks for accommodating me as a single diner and taking the time to feel welcomed!
We had the best experience at Tio’s recently (and as always). We had a large party of 30. The management and staff were so attentive and made sure our experience was perfect! They went above and beyond. The food was amazing and the service was top notch! Thank you Robert and everyone at Tio’s that made our party so awesome!
My in-laws recommended this place. And I'm so glad they did. We have season tickets to LSU softball and basketball. And eat out often. I was caught off guard when we walked in. And no one was around to seat us. When she finally showed up, she said, "Can I help you?" But our waitress was super sweet. The food is really good. I can't wait to go back.
This was my first time ever going there, and the food was delicious. The setup and service were top tier. The only thing that I didn't like and was very uncomfortable was some of the customers that we were sitting next getting upset because they weren't allowed to move tables together. They agreed to be very rude to the waiter, and he did a great job of ignoring the rudness and continued to do his job with grace. I think the manager handled them well. Had it been me, I would have escorted them out. Anyways, would I come back DEFINITELY.....

Whenever I'm in Baton Rouge, I always go to Tio Javi's. The best Mexican food ever. The margarita's are out of this world and made with fresh squeezed lime. The tequila selection on the menu is huge. Everything on the menu is great.
